GAF OBSERVES 79TH REMEMBRANCE DAY SERVICE

The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah was amongst many distinguished personalities who graced the 79th Remembrance Day Service to pay tribute to the brave men and women who lost their lives during World Wars I and II, thereby securing the peace and stability the globe enjoys.

The solemn ceremony was held at the Osu Christianburg War Cemetery on Monday, 11 November 2024, as the annual commemoration also serves as a reminder to serving military personnel of the ultimate price paid by heroes and their families, during these wars.

The Guest of Honor for the Service was the Minister for National Security – Mr Albert Kan-Dapaah, with other dignitaries present being the Minister for Defence – Mr Dominic Nitiwul; Chairman, Veterans Association of Ghana – Major General Clayton Boanubah Yaache (Rtd), Members of Ghana’s Diplomatic Corps, and of the Military High Command.
