The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) is set to partner the International Hospitals Group (IHG) to enhance the operational capabilities of Ghana military’s Medical Services Corps.
The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) -Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong- Peprah disclosed this when he received a delegation from the Group and its principal foreign partners, in his office at the General Headquarter, Burma Camp, Accra, on Wednesday, 24 April 2024.

The CDS reiterated the need for GAF to equip all Units and personnel, especially in the north of Ghana, to enable them combat contemporary threats effectively and efficiently.
The leader of the delegation – Mr Sintim Aboagye in his remarks noted, that the partnership will enable the Groups to support GAF’s kinetic and non-kinetic operations through the provision of hospitals, medical equipment and other logistics.

He further recalled that, the two institutions have had beneficial cooperation in health infrastructure and medical logistics in the past, assuring of their willingness to assist the Armed Forces going forward.
