The Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS), Medical, General Headquarters (GHQ) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – Major General (Maj Gen) Raymond Ewusi, has extolled his Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) – Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah; for providing critical support for medical personnel, within the short time he had been in office.
The DCOS Medical paid the complements when the CDS called at the Department of Medical Services, GHQ, Burma Camp, Accra, on Friday 19 April 2024, as part of his working visits to Departments and Directorates in the GHQ, where he also visited the GHQ Records, Education, International Peace Support Operations, and Defence Intelligence.

Maj Gen R Ewusi praised the CDS for providing funds for the construction of a Molecular Laboratory, and overseas courses for medical personnel, and personally arranging for the supply of two Dialysis Machines to the Critical Care and Emergency Hospital of GAF, within his short time of assuming office as the CDS.
General Oppong-Peprah assured GHQ Medical that he will assist them in completing ongoing projects, and solve their manpower challenges, stressing that medical personnel should be given the necessary support to further their studies, in order to provide quality service to all.

He interacted with Generals, Directors and Staff of the Units, and commended them for their dedication and hard work in support of Command.
At the GHQ Records, Lt Gen T Oppong-Peprah stated that he will work with the Department to modernize and digitalize its archival documents, and promised them that the first ten (10) computers would be delivered in the oncoming week.
