Naval Captain (GN) Anthony Kofi Sarfo of the Ghana Navy, has been bestowed the prestigious German Award of The Silver Cross of Honour by the Federal Minister of Defence of the Federal Republic of Germany for “Outstanding Services to the German Armed Forces”.
The award was presented to Capt (GN) Sarfo, on Tuesday 28 November 2023 at an event held at the German Ambassador’s Residence in Accra, by Flotilla Admiral Jens Nemeyer – Commander of the German Naval Academy in Flensburg-Murwick, in the presence of the German Ambassador to Ghana – His Excellency (HE) Mr Daniel Krull.

Ambassador Krull commended Captain (GN) Sarfo for his exceptional, meritorious service, and notable performance of duty, as the Liaison Officer for the supervision and coordination of logistics of German projects in Ghana, over the past five years.
Mr Krull further stated that the recognition by the Federal Government of Germany to award Captain (GN) Sarfo of the prestigious Bundeswehr Silver Cross Of Honour, was due to his loyal discharge of duty, selflessness and dedication to the completion of their projects across the country.

Captain (GN) Sarfo was in March 2023, at the La Palm Beach Hotel, also awarded with the Ghana Order of Merit, in the “Combat Award” category of the year, by the Ghana Merit Awards, for his extraordinary service to Ghana and humanity.
