The Ghana Air Force has commissioned a 3-storey multipurpose accommodation building which commenced in April 2021 and completed in February 2023, to provide convenient accommodation to over 100 Airmen, to enable them perform their duties effectively.
The Base Commander, Air Force Base (AFB), Accra – Air Commodore (A/Cdre) Eric Agyen-Frempong, on Thursday 31 August 2023, commissioned the multipurpose accommodation building – which comprises of 12 units of 2 bedroom self-contained apartments, 12 chamber-and-hall self-contained rooms, and 4 dormitories for Young Soldiers – at the Air Force Barracks, Burma Camp.

A/Cdre E Agyen-Frempong, at the commissioning ceremony, expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Defence (MoD), the Military High Command (MHC), and all past Chiefs of the Air Staff (CAS) for all the support rendered to the Ghana Air Force, in tackling the accommodation deficit in the barracks, and particularly to the immediate-past CAS – Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Frank Hanson (Rtd), for facilitating the construction of the imposing edifice.
The Base Commander acknowledged the Chief Executive Officer of TONYDOLLEN ENTERPRISE – Mr Anthony Tieku-Nsiah and his team, for working tirelessly to complete the project on time, and the 49 Engineer Regiment of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), for their supervisory role in the completion of the building.

The ceremony was witnessed by the Chief Staff Officer (CSO), Air Force Headquarters – A/Cdre Eric Yirenkyi, Deputy CSOs and Directors at the Air Force Headquarters.
