National Executives of the Ghana Bar Association (GBA), led by its President – Mr Yaw Acheampong Boafo, called on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah.
During their interaction on Thursday 4 April 2024 at the General Headquarters, Burma Camp, Accra, Mr Boafo congratulated the CDS on his appointment, and engaged him on ways to better collaborate, to promote peace and security in Ghana.

The CDS, on his part, welcomed and commended them for the steps taken to collaborate with the Armed Forces.
He stated his willingness to further explore ways to deepen the collaboration between them for a more secured and peaceful country going forward.
Lt Gen Oppong-Peprah added that the fight against terrorism and insecurity in contemporary times, is a multi-sectorial effort, therefore their collaboration was necessary.
He appealed to the Judiciary to fast track the prosecution of culprits arrested by the security services in hotspots.
