The Commander-In-Chief (C-In-C) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has cut sod for the construction of 2000 accommodation units for the Ghana Navy (GN), which is being made possible by a One Hundred Million USD facility, secured by the Navy, acting through the Ministry of Defence, from a corporate organization – CTA DEVELOPMENT GROUP.


The groundbreaking event took place on Wednesday 1 February, 2023 and is to have a mixture of 3-bedroom semidetached, 2 and 3-bedroom flats, of 750 units to be built at Naval Barracks, Burma Camp, Accra, 250 at Biekro Barracks, Bankuman, Tema, another 750 units at Kweikuman, 250 Units at Essikado, in Sekondi, with ancillary facilities like sports complex, sports centers, that will go with the buildings.
CTA Development Group will construct the project which is expected to commence in March 2023, and will last 36 months deploying a fast technology called the WTF (Wall Ties & Forms) technology, that actually uses pre-stress and pre-concrete systems, in putting up the building.
