GHANA’S NATSY COORD & CDS VISIT IVORIAN NATSY COORD & CDS

Ghana’s National Security Coordinator – Mr Edward Asomani, with the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah led a delegation to pay a working visit to the Coordonnateur du Renseignement – Prefet Vassiriki, and the Ivorian CDS – General Lassina Dounbia, in Abidjan on Sunday, 11 August 2024.

Mr Asomani thanked the Ivorian team for their warm reception and emphasised the need to consolidate existing collaboration to ensure the region was safe for both countries.

Lt Gen Oppong-Peprah also noted that, the two Armed Forces were ready to work to further ensure the safe environment of the region.

Prefet Vassiriki in his remarks posited that the visit of the delegation from Accra to Abidjan was a sign of good comradeship.

He then reiterated the need to collaborate more in fields of intelligence, training and other military operations to ensure the safe environment of the region.
