As part of GHANA BATTALION (GHANBATT) 10 activities, an Inter-Contingent Football Toumament was held on Saturday, 26 November, 2022 at the Ghana Formed Police Unit (GHAN-FPU) Camp.

After a day of thrilling sportsmanship, GHANBATT emerged the winner of the toumament thus, breaking the seven-year winning streak of the GHAN-FPU.
The Inter-Contingent Football Tournament was held with the aim to promote comradeship and healthy competition between the Troop Contributing Contingents (TCC) in the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) Sector Unity.

The participating teams included All Ranks drawn from Ghana Battalion (GHANBATT), Mongolia Battalion (MONBATT), Vietnam Level II Hospital, Pakistan Mechanical Engineering Task Force (PAK-METF), Ghana Formed Police Unit (GHAN-FPU) and United Nations (UN) Military Staff at the Sector Unity Headquarters (1HQ SUNITY). In second and third place were the HQ SUNITY and GHAN-FPU, respectively.


In attendance at the event was the Deputy Sector Commander – Colonel Ali Raja Muhammed Ammar, the Commanding Officer (CO) GHANBATT 10 – Lieutenant Colonel Prince Tandoh and the CO GHAN-FPU – Superintendent of Police, Mr. Daniel Kofi Turkson.
