A delegation from the Ghana Boundary Commission (GhBC), led by its Commissioner General – Major General (Maj Gen) Emmanuel Wekem Kotia, paid a courtesy call on Ghana’s Minister for Defence – Dr Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, to brief him on the mandate and activities of the Commission.
.The visit on Tuesday 18 February 2025 at the Ministry of Defence in Accra, also aimed aim at strengthening ties and to foster collaboration between the Commission, and the Ministry of Defence.

The courtesy call provided an opportunity for the team from the GhBC to brief the Minister, particularly on issues related to land and maritime boundary demarcation/delmitation, dispute resolution, and cross-border cooperation.
The Minister, in turn, commended the Commission for their efforts in managing and securing the international boundaries of Ghana, emphasising the importance of maintaining good relations with neighbouring countries.

The meeting underscored the Commission’s commitment to working with key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Defence and particularly the Ghana Armed Forces, to ensure the effective management of the borders of Ghana.
