The Ghana Boundary Commission (GhBC), led by its Commissioner-General – Major General (Maj Gen) Emmanuel Wekem Kotia, has paid a courtesy call on the Management of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) to explore possible areas of collaboration between the Commission and the state broadcaster.
Addressing the Management of GBC, on Tuesday 13 February 2024, Maj Gen Kotia, expressed gratitude to the Director-General and staff of GBC, for amplifying the Commission’s activities through continuous support in the area of media coverage, and helping sensitise Ghanaians about the works of the Commission.

He also took the opportunity to entreat for wider coverage, especially in the areas of sensitisation through GBC’s radio channels.
Welcoming the delegation from the Commission, the Director-General of GBC – Professor Amin Alhassan, noted that the two state institutions play similar roles geared towards ensuring a safe and secure Ghana.
He emphasised that while the GhBC secures the boundaries through physical demarcation, the GBC does same through shaping the mind-set of communities, and creating awareness of the roles of the communities, in preserving the territorial integrity of Ghana.
Professor Alhassan underlined that it was important for all branches of the GBC across the country to be functional, to enable the state broadcaster achieve maximum success in educating, informing and entertaining the masses.
