GOC C/COMD PROMPTLY SUPPORTS FIRE VICTIMS AT UADDARA BARRACKS

The General Officer Commanding (GOC), Central Command (C/COMD) – Brigadier General Michael Kwadwo Opoku, in a quick response move, has made a presentation of food items and a cash donation to Soldiers who were victims of a fire outbreak at the Uaddara Barracks in Kumasi.

General Opoku made the donation on Monday 28 October 2024, to Soldiers who lived in the deficient accommodation, and could recover nothing from the blaze.

The awe-struck GOC, who went to the site of the incident to commiserate with the victims, presented the items, which included essential relief items, bags of rice, cooking oil, canned fish, and an amount of money, assuring the victims of the Military High Command’s commitment to prioritizing their wellbeing, and further assistance.

The cause of the blaze is being investigated by appropriate authorities.
