Ghana Army’s 66 Artillery Regiment commemorated Ghana’s 62nd Republic Day status with a Blood Donation Exercise at the Ho Teaching Hospital, as part of the Regiment’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

At the Teaching Hospital on Friday July 1, 2022, the Commanding Officer (CO) of the Regiment – Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Edward Sarpong Appiah said it has become an annual rite for his Unit to support the Hospital’s Blood bank, by donating blood.

“As the major referral healthcare centre for Garrison 7 Medical Reception Station (7MRS), and the Region as a whole, the Army Unit deems it appropriate to always support the hospital’s Blood Bank, to re-stock its dwindling reserve.”

Mr. Vincent Fekpe – Deputy Blood Donor Organiser at the Ho Teaching Hospital, lauded the continuous efforts of the 66 Artillery Regiment to support the Hospital Blood bank, and urged other security agencies to donate blood to save lives.
