The Resident Representative of the President of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Commission (RRPC) in Guinea-Bissau – Her Excellency (HE) Ambassador Ngozi Ukaeje, paid a working visit to the ECOWAS Stabilisation Support Mission in Guinea-Bissau (ESSMGB) Ghana Company (GHANCOY) 4.
On Thursday 21 August 2025, HE Ngozi Ukaeje, who doubles as the Head of Mission, was received by the GHANCOY Combat Team Commander (CTC) – Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Isaac Keelson Ekow Amoah, who briefed her on the Operational, Administrative and Logistics matters of GHANCOY 4.

She was also briefed on some future projects such as the Soldier’s Mess, a Vehicle Park Shed, accommodation renovation works, and a Vehicle Maintenance Shed with maintenance Shop and a Volleyball Court.
The RRPC later participated in a durbar with All Ranks of the GHANCOY, where she expressed her impression of GHANCOY 4’s professional posture, and the exceptional leadership exhibited by the CTC.

She urged troops to remain resilient and disciplined, as captured in the GHANCOY’s motto, and further reminded troops of the need to remain vigilant and ready to defend the ECOWAS mandate before, during and after the scheduled 23 November 2025 general elections in Guinea-Bissau.
The RRPC was later conducted round to see the state of the camp, especially troops accomodation areas, and also visited the sites intended for the aforementioned future projects in the Camp.
