HO TECH UNI GRADUATES 1ST DIPLOMA COHORT OF NAVTRAC’S SUPPLY APPLICATION SCH

The Supply Application School (SAS) of Ghana Navy’s Training Command (NACTRAC), in collaboration with the Ho Technical University (HTU), have graduated eighty-one (81) persons into various programmes run by the University.

The Graduation Ceremony took place on Wednesday 11 December 2024, at the Auditorium of the School of Maritime Operations, at NAVTRAC, Nutepkor, near Sogakope, in the Volta Region of Ghana.

The graduation ceremony was the 5th since the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Ghana Navy and the HTU.

30 Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) personnel graduated with a Diploma in Procurement and Supply Management, 25 graduated with Diploma in Secretaryship and Management Studies, and 26 graduated with Certificate in Cook Steward. Of the 81, 5 were from the Ghana Army, and 5 from the Ghana Air Force.

Commodore (Cdre) Solomon Asiedu-Larbi – Flag Officer Commanding (FOC), NAVTRAC, stated that the Command had decided to organize graduations twice a year, and possibly join the HTU during their Congregations.

Vice Chancellor, HTU – Professor (Prof) Ben Honyenuga, expressed appreciation to the Command of NAVTRAC and the Naval High Command, for the commitment in the implementation of the MOU, and tasked the graduates to make the University one of the best universities in Ghana.

He stated that HTU values the partnership with the Ghana Navy in particular, and GAF at large, and would work together to improve on the status quo.

In her valedictory speech, Leading Seaman (LS) Yeboah Dorothy encouraged her fellow graduates to continue to learn new things and broaden their horizon, and to apply the knowledge acquired in their assigned duties.
