IGP PAYS VISIT TO GOC C/COMD

The General Officer Commanding (GOC), Central Command (C/COMD) of the Ghana Army – Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Charles Agyemang-Prempeh, received Ghana’s Inspector General of Police (IGP) – Commissioner of Police (COP) Dr George Akuffo Dampare, at the Command for a working visit, to foster collaboration and esprit de corps amongst soldiers and police personnel in the Ashanti Region.

The IGP’s working visit on Friday 12 January 2024, was also to congratulate Brig Gen Agyemang-Prempeh upon his assumption of office as GOC of the Ghana Army Formation.

Brig Gen C Agyemang-Prempeh, in his interactions with COP Dr Dampare, assured him that personnel under his Command would continue to work hand-in-hand with the Ashanti Regional Police Command, to ensure peace in the Ashanti Region, indicating that such collaborations ensure peaceful co-existence, and build esprit de corps amongst sister security agencies.

On his part, the IGP commended the GOC and personnel of C/COMD for operating together with the Police Service, in the spirit of brotherliness in ensuring that the crime rate in Ashanti Region reduces to its barest minimum.

Pledging to fall on the Ghana Armed Forces for assistance, when need be, the IGP urged soldiers and police personnel, to see themselves as partners for national development, at all times.
