A 6-member delegation from the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) , led by the Israeli Ambassador to Ghana – His Excellency (HE) Mr Roey Gilad, paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – General Thomas Oppong-Peprah.
The visit on Wednesday, 5 February 2025, at the General Headquarters (GHQ), Burma Camp, Accra, aimed to deepen cooperation in intelligence gathering, air defence systems, and naval operations between the IDF and GAF.
The Israeli Ambassador in his remarks, expressed gratitude for Ghana’s contributions in protecting Civilian lives, and for their professionalism as peacekeepers with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
The Chief of Staff at the GHQ – Lieutenant General Joseph Prince Osei-Owusu recieved the delegation, on behalf of the CDS, and assured them of increased collaboration between the two institutions.
