by Kofi Ampeah Woode

Major General (Maj Gen) Richard Addo Gyane – Commandant of the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC), and his team have continued their engagements with the Centre’s partners in Europe, recently engaging with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The discussions explored both current collaborations and new opportunities, and centered on leveraging Denmark’s expertise to enrich KAIPTC’s training programs and strategic objectives.

The KAIPTC team were also at the Danida Fellowship Centre, where they held fruitful discussions on new areas of collaborations in training, research and policy dialogues.

A pivotal moment during their engagements in Denmark was the meeting with Her Excellency (HE) Ellen Margrethe Løj – former Special Representative of the Secretary General (SRSG) of the United Nations, United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), and KAIPTC Goodwill Ambassador.

Recognizing her pivotal role in advocating for the Centre’s mission, the conversation highlighted the importance of her ongoing support and contributions to KAIPTC initiatives.

The team also paid a courtesy visit to Ghana’s Ambassador to Denmark, facilitating discussions on the broader scope of Ghana-Denmark relations, exploring avenues for diplomatic support and underscoring the potential to further strengthen the partnership between KAIPTC and Danish institutions.
