Ghana Army’s (GA) Lance Corporal (L/Cpl) Katadat Rashaka was the proud recipient of the National Best Volleyball Player of the Year (2022) honour, at the 47th Sports Writers’ Association of Ghana (SWAG) Annual Awards Night.
The MTN/SWAG event was held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on 28 January 2023 where the Soldier shared the spotlight with other Sports Personalities of the Year 2022.
L/Cpl Katadat is the Captain of the GA Female Volleyball Team, which she led to triumph over their competitors in multiple competitions in 2022.
The Chief of the Army Staff, Major General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, on behalf of the Officers, Soldiers and Civilian Staff of the Ghana Army, has extended congratulations to L/Cpl Katadat Rashaka for her achievement.
On behalf of the COAS and the Army, her colleagues from the Army Sports Teams, under the leadership of Major Dickson Agalga – the Staff Officer in-charge, Physical Training and Sports, Army Headquarters, SOII G7 (PT & Sports), were present to support her at the awards ceremony.
