The Lebanese Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Maher Kheir, has paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, at the General Headquarters (GHQ).
Ambassador Kheir in his interaction with CDS on Thursday 20 June 2024 at GHQ, Burma Camp, Accra, pledged the Lebanese government’s support to the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), reaffirming the strong bilateral relations between the two nations.

The Ambassador also proposed an exchange program for the Lebanese Armed Forces at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre, aimed at enhancing military cooperation and capacity building.
Lieutenant General Oppong-Peprah expressed gratitude for the visit and commended the Lebanese government for their ongoing support in offering scholarships to Ghanaians to study Law and General Arts.
