The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah has stated that GAF cooperation with the Chinese Armed Forces should be geared towards maintaining maximum peace and security in the country.
He made this statement on Wednesday 24 April 2024, at the General Headquarters, Burma Camp, Accra, during an interaction with the Chinese Defence Attaché ( DA) Colonel (Col) Song Jun.

The CDS highlighted the Strategic, Logistics, Defence, and Security cooperation between the two countries over the years, emphasizing that both countries would work together to better uphold their partnership for peace and stability.
On his part, Col Song Jun expressed the commitment of the Chinese Armed Forces to deepen the cooperation with GAF in the areas of training and logistics support.
