MAJ GEN GYANE RECEIVES CILG DISTINGUISHED LEADERSHIP AWARD ‘23

The Chartered Institute of Leadership and Governance (CILG) has re-presented its awarded prestigious DISTINGUISHED LEADERSHIP AWARD, 2023 to Major General (Maj Gen) Richard Addo Gyane – Commandant, Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC), after he was unable to receive the award earlier.

The award was received on the Commandant’s behalf by his Deputy, as he was out of Ghana, at the time of the event, on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Schroeder Hall of KAIPTC, where the CILG, Ghana held its 2023 and 5th Annual Induction and Awards Ceremony.

Upon his return to the country, representatives of CILG visited the Commandant at his offices on Thursday 23 November, 2023, to re-present the award to him personally.

Maj Gen Gyane, who leads the outstanding institution under Ghana’s Ministry of Defence, which is one of the three Economic Community of West African States [ECOWAS] Training Centers of Excellence, after receiving the award, made a few remarks on leadership.

He asserted that leadership must indeed be cultivated, if Africa is to have a thriving future, and that it would be the key to unlocking some of the budding potentials inherent in the continent’s rich human resource.

The CILG is a professional body registered in New Mexico, United States of America (USA), dedicated to promoting the welfare, interests, education, and professional development of individuals whose prime responsibility is to provide leadership and governance in both the public and private sectors.

Present to present the award were Dr Asare-Bediako Adams – (FCILG), and Country Director; Mr Abdulai Alhassan Issifu (FCILG) – Member, Professional Conduct and Ethics Committee (PCEC), and Coordinating Director, Ablekuma Central Municipal Assembly; Rev Dr Francis Sarkodie-Addo (FCILG) – Chairman, PCEC, and Head of Facilities Unit, KAIPTC; and Colonel Robert Adwini (FCILG) – Director of Administration, KAIPTC.
