As part of activities marking the 67th Independence Day Anniversary celebrations of Ghana, the President’s Independence Day Awards was held, at which His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, presented awards to a total of forty-six (46) students for outstanding performances at the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
The national event, held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on Friday, 1 March 2024, had student of Services Junior High School, at Burma Camp, Accra – Ms Abdullah Swaiba, awarded for emerging the Best Student in the La-Dadekotopon Municipality.
The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah; Chief of the Army Staff – Major General Bismarck Kwasi Onwona; Chief of the Naval Staff – Rear Admiral Issah Adam Yakubu, together with other security chiefs, were among the dignitaries who graced the occasion.
