In a bid to strengthen the existing relationship between the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and the people of La Dadekotopon, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency, Honourable (Hon) Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, led a delegation to pay a courtesy call on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) – Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, at the General Headquarters, Burma Camp.
During the visit, the CDS expressed his appreciation for the visit and highlighted the need for a collaborative effort to resolve the long-standing encroachment of GAF lands.

He noted that, GAF had lost several acres of land to the people of La Dadekotopon over the years, hence, the urgent need for a more proactive approach to protect the remaining lands.
Hon Naa Odoley on her part, lauded GAF for the peaceful coexistence with her constituents and encouraged all to work towards a negotiated solution to the land challenges.
