NATIONAL PEACE COUNCIL VISITS GAF CDS

The National Peace Council (NPC) led by the Board Chairman, Reverend Doctor Ernest Adu-Gyamfi visited the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah at the General Headquarters on Wednesday, 13 March 2024.

The Chairman stated the purpose of the visit was to confer with the CDS on areas of collaboration and to explore better avenues to ensure safety and peace in the 2024 General Elections.

He also commended the Armed Forces for their professional posture and effectiveness in ensuring the territorial integrity of Ghana.

The CDS on his part, commended the NPC for engaging the Armed Forces and gave the assurance, the military will work assiduously in support of the civil authorities to maintain peace and security in Ghana.

Present were the Chief of Naval Staff – Rear Admiral Issah Adam Yakubu; Chief of Staff – Major General Joseph Prince Osei-Owusu; Air Commodore Eric Agyen-Frempong, and Directors General at the General Headquarters.
