NATIONAL SECURITY MINISTER VISITS ESSMGB GHANCOY 3

As part of his visit to Guinea-Bissau to participate in the country’s 51st Independence Anniversary celebrations, Ghana’s Minister of National Security – Mr Albert Kan-Dapaah, has paid a familiarization visit to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Stabilization Support Mission in Guinea Bissau (ESSMGB) Ghana Company 3 (GHANCOY 3) Headquarters.

THE Minister who, representing the President of Ghana, and Commander-In-Chief (C-In-C) of the Ghana Armed Forces, led a Ghanaian delegation to the anniversary, visited the ESSMGB GHANCOY 3, on Saturday 16 November 2024.

The Officer Commanding (OC) GHANCOY 3 – Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Gabriel Mawuli Agboado, briefed the delegation on a summary of operational activities conducted by GHANCOY 3, and expressed gratitude for the governments unwavering support to the Company.

The National Security Minister, on behalf of the C-in-C – His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, expressed his satisfaction with the operations and dedication of GHANCOY.

In an interaction with Key Appointment Holders, Mr Kan-Dapaah commended All Ranks for their conduct over the period, and urged them to continue to be worthy ambassadors of Ghana. After the interaction, Lt Col GM Agboado presented a plaque to the Minister.

Accompanying the Minister were, Ghana’s Ambassador to Guinea Conakry and Guinea Bissau – HE Maxwell Awiaga; Ambassador Sena Siaw-Boateng – Chief Director, Ministry of National Security; Mr. Peter Taylor – Director, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration; Dr. Victoria Sam – Director, Analysis Department, Ministry of National Security; and Mrs Rebecca Kan-Dapaah – Spouse of Minister for National Security.
