NAVY SUPPLY SCHOOL, HO TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY HOLD MATRICULATION FOR 47 PERSONNEL

The Ghana Navy Supply School in conjunction with the Ho Technical University (HTU), have held the 4th Matriculation Ceremony for forty-seven (47) personnel drawn from the Three Arms of Service of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and its Defence Civilian Staff.

The matriculation ceremony for the 4th batch of personnel to have been admitted to study at the HTU since the Ghana Navy signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the HTU in April 2023, was held at the Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC), Nutepkor in the Volta Region on Wednesday 26 June 2024.

The Certificate courses to be undertaken by the GAF personnel include Secretary-ship, Management Studies and Cook Steward courses for five persons from the Ghana Army, thirty-three from the Ghana Navy, seven from the Ghana Air Force, and two Defence Civilian Staff.

In his address, the Pro Vice-Chancellor, HTU – Professor (Prof) Christopher Mensah expressing his satisfaction with the collaboration between the University and the Supply Application School, urged the Matriculants to abide by the rules and regulations of the University, and be dedicated to studying hard.

In his welcome address, the Flag Officer Commanding (FOC), NAVTRAC – Commodore (Cdre) Solomon Asiedu-Larbi stated that it was important for Ratings to enhance their knowledge in the discharge of their duties, and also acquire certificates that would be worthy of use when they eventually retire from the Service.

Present at the ceremony were faculty and staff members from the HTU, Commanding Officer (CO), Supply Application School – Lt Cdr Frederick Kutsoati, CO, Naval Base Nutepkor, Officers, Senior Ratings, Ratings and Defence Civilian Staff.
