Peace Journal, a dedicated and trusted Defence and Security News portal – has been honoured with a plaque of honour by AWARDS CENTRE GH – a subsidiary of a registered supplier of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), with the presentation done by no mean dignitary than the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) of GAF – Major General (Maj Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah.
The presentation was made at the forecourt of the Odartey-Wellington Block of the Army Headquarters (AHQ), Burma Camp, on Monday 29 January 2024 and received by the Editor-in-Chief of Peace Journal – Kofi Ampeah-Woode.

The COAS – Maj Gen T Oppong-Peprah expressed appreciation to Peace Journal, saying that publicizing the great works of the Ghana Army to the world, has been possible through the Defence and Security magazine and its social media handles.
Mr Percy Paa Kwesi Amuah – Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AWARDS CENTRE GH, said his motivation for the presentation was as a result of consistently monitoring the unique work of PEACE JOURNAL on its website www.ghanapeacejournal.com, channels on YouTube, WhatsApp, X, and page on Facebook, and thought that its work is exemplary.
He said to have a niche media that is dedicated to issues of a particular sector, as Peace Journal is pursuing, is extraordinary and challenging.

The citation on the plaque reads: “Your dedicated and unparalleled commitment to publicizing the works of the Ghana Army in particular, and the Ghana Armed Forces generally, through www.ghanapeacejournal.com and its channels on Facebook and YouTube, deserves high commendation.
First and only dedicated civil media that is totally dedicated to issues of Defence and Security in Ghana. Consistently projecting the Ghana Armed Forces in only good light to the world, with intrinsic motivation”.
