PRESIDENT OF MILITARY CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP VISITS CDS, GAF

The president of the Ghana Military Christian Fellowship (GMCF) – Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Michael Akpatsu (rtd), paid a courtesy call on Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – General Thomas Oppong-Peprah.

The visit on Wednesday 26 February 2025 at the General Headquarters was to congratulate General Oppong-Peprah on his promotion to a four star general and to discuss matters of mutual concern.

During the meeting, Brig Gen Akpatsu (rtd) requested that the CDS grants his team the opportunity to evangelize to personnel in the GAF through the Military Christian Fellowship at their various duty posts code named “Operation Duty Post”.

According to Brig Gen Akpatsu, this initiative would also afford the Religious Affairs Officers, opportunities to pursue professional courses abroad.

General Oppong-Peprah on his part, thanked him for the congratulatory message and said, he had no doubt his promotion would serve as an inspiration and motivation for young Officers to work hard to become four star generals in future.

He expressed gratitude and gave approval for the “Operation Duty Post”,and was hopeful the initiative would be successful and impactful.

Other members of the delegation were Brig Gen Benjamin Godson Kumi-Woode – Director General Religious Affairs, and Commander Quayson – Director, Navy Religious Affairs.
