The Retired Sergeant Majors Association of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) led by its President – Ex-Master Warrant Officer Frempa Moses, has lauded the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) – Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah, for his sterling leadership in improving the welfare of troops.
He made this remark when he led a delegation from the Association to pay a courtesy call on the CDS on Friday, 2 August 2024, at the General Headquarters, Burma Camp, Accra.

Ex-Master Warrant Officer Frempa praised Lt Gen Oppong-Peprah’s leadership, citing his achievements, including the creation of the Army Peacekeeping Operations Training School, establishment of 10, 11 and 12 Mechanised Battalions in Wa, Bolgatanga and Sandema, respectively, as well as myriads of accommodation projects from 2020 till date.
Lt Gen Oppong-Peprah on his part, thanked the team for the visit and pledged support for the association. He also acknowledged the contributions of the sergeant majors to the military’s success.
