The Rwandan High Commissioner to Ghana – Her Excellency Rosemary Mbabazi paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah at his office to congratulate the CDS on his appointment and promotion to the highest office in the Ghana Armed Forces, on Monday, 11 March 2024.
She urged, the excellent bilateral relationship between the two militaries especially in intelligence sharing, training and capacity building, be strengthened. She disclosed plans were advanced to build a monument in Ghana to celebrate the invaluable role Ghanaian Peacekeepers played during the conflict.
The CDS appreciated the High Commissioner for the visit and commended her for appreciating the roles GAF played in Rwanda, and emphasized the need for intelligence sharing and enhanced training going forward.
