SECURITY & OPS UNIT OF GHANA PRISONS SERVICE IN CORRECTIONAL ORIENTATION EX

The Security and Operations Unit of Ghana Prisons Service has engaged in Correctional Oriented Simulation Exercise dubbed Cell Extraction Technique (CET).

The training on Tuesday 4 March 2025, at the Prisons Interdenominational Church (PIC) premises, Accra, aimed at imbuing and imbibing the technique of retrieving dangerous implements, sharp objects and so on, from violent and aggressive prison inmates.

The Field Training Exercise (FTX) also sought to scrutinize the logistical capabilities and short comings within the penitentiary institution, in the face of potential threats.

The training was under the auspices of the Director of Operations (DOP) – Mr Francis Hagbe, and facilitated the Chief Operations Officer – Chief Superintendent of Prisons Mr Fred Johnson.
