SIS&L COMMISSIONS 9TH BRANCH IN BOLGA

Service Integrity Savings and Loans (SIS&L) has officially inaugurated its 9th operational branch, at the Abilba Barracks, base of the 11 Mechanised Battalion (11 Mech Bn), Bolgatanga, in the Upper East Region of Ghana, to cater for the financial needs of military personnel, other security services and the general public. 

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) Northern Command Brigadier General Frank Nartey Tei, who was the guest of honour for the event on Friday, 4 October, 2024, stated in his remarks that the opening of the new SIS&L branch is a testament the company’s steady expansion, especially in a sector that has faced significant hurdles in recent years. 

He further commended SIS&L for its dedication and commitment since its establishment in 2016, noting that the company had made notable strides within the banking sector, positioning itself as a preferred financial institution for both the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and the general public. 

The GOC also called on all military personnel, both serving and retired, as well as GAF as an institution, to support and utilize the services of SIS&L, highlighting the inherent link between the company’s success and that of the Armed Forces.

Major Amarkai Amarteifio (Rtd) – Board Chairman of SIS&L in his remarks, mentioned that the launch of the Bolga branch underscores SISL’s long-term commitment to delivering innovative banking services, driven by excellent customer experiences.

He highlighted the company’s consistent profitability since its inception, attributing it to strong corporate governance, prudent risk management, and the solid support of the military leadership, alongside loyal customers and a dedicated workforce. 

 Present at the event were the Chief Executive Officer of SIS&L – Mrs Lydia Daddy; Commander, Joint Task Force, Bawku – Colonel (Col) Yaw Owusu; Command Logistics Officer Headquarters, N/COMD – Col John Kwarteng; Director SIS&L – Mr Solomon Tettey Akpeng; Senior Staff, SIS&L Accra, representatives from other security services and financial institutions in the region, Officers, Soldiers and Defence Civilians of 11 Mech Bn.
