The General Officer Commanding (GOC), Northern Command (N/COMD) of the Ghana Army – Brigadier General (Brig Gen) FranK Nartey Tei, has urged the Board and Management of Services Integrity Savings and Loans Ltd (SIS&L), to continuously address unique needs of Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) personnel, to back calls for the Military High Command to consider channeling all official financial transactions through SIS&L.
The GOC, made the call when he commissioned the newly built Wa Office of SIS&L, in the Upper West Region of Ghana, on Thursday 11 July 2024, as the Guest of Honour, representing Ghana’s Military High Command at the function.

Brig Gen FN Tei furthered that although the concept has been successfully implemented in Rwanda, where the military bank (Zigama CSS – 2nd largest bank in Rwanda) caters for the financial needs of its armed forces, it is imperative that serving and retired military personnel of various Units, support and patronize SIS&L.
He said SIS&L, established in 2016 with the primary objective of catering for the banking and financial needs of personnel of GAF, has navigated Ghana’s banking sector reforms successfully, and continuing to thrive as a testament to its strength and reliability, has become a financial institution of choice for Ghana’s military, with an aim to enhance the welfare of GAF personnel.

General Tei also urged the Board of Directors and Management of SIS&L, to further build confidence in GAF’s personnel by developing products and services tailored to their requirements, as they marked the 8th Operational Branch of SIS&L at Wa, to serve as a clear indication of the company’s steady growth and resilience in a sector that has recently faced significant challenges.
Present at the event included the Chief Executive Officer, SIS&L – Mrs Lydia Maku Daddy; Commanding Officer, 10 Mechanized Battalion – Lieutenant Colonel Godfred Asampong; Senior Officers, Officers, Soldiers and Civilian Employees of GAF.
