The Uganda Defence Force (UDF) has expressed interest in partnering with the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) on developing gender mainstreaming initiatives in the UDF, and to learn and emulate GAF’s policy on recruitment, deployment and career progression of female soldiers.
These statements were made by Brigadier General AO Olupot when he led a team of senior Ugandan Military Officers to pay a courtesy call on the Chief of Staff (COS) at the General Headquarters, Major General Prince Joseph Osei-Owusu on Monday, 11 March 2024.
The COS affirmed the commitment of the GAF to cooperate with the UDF in that regard.
