UNMISS GH10 GIVES TO ARAKAN MEDICAL CENTRE

The defunct Ghanaian Battalion No.10 (GH10) of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), who have completed their tour of duty and returned to Ghana, have donated a number of items to the Arakan Medical Centre, Burma Camp, to facilitate the ease of healthcare delivery.

The presentation on Tuesday 10 October, 2023, was done by the Commanding Officer (CO) of UNMISS GH10, and the outgoing CO, 5 Infantry Battalion – Colonel (Col) Prince Eric Tandoh, who led a representation of the peacekeepers.

The donation, which was made at the healthcare center, was received on behalf of the Senior Medical Officer (SMO) of the infirmary, by the Nursing Officer-in-Charge of Arakan Medical Centre – Col Josephine Kumordjie.

The items donated, worth about Forty-Two Thousand Nine Hundred and Twenty Cedis (GH¢42,920) are; three (3) 1.5 Horsepower Samsung air conditioners, three (3) sets of LG LED 43” Television, one (1) lawn mower, three (3) Electronic Sphygmomanometer (Digital Blood Pressure devices), three (3) Infrared thermometers, four (4) Digital Auxiliary thermometers, one (1) Bruhm double-room refrigerator, and the partitioning of the Labour Ward, which would be done at a convenient time.
