US JOINT STAFF DIRECTOR INTELLIGENCE VISITS GAF TO STRENGHTENS TIES

The United States (US) Joint Staff Director of intelligence – Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Henry Dimitri has led a delegation to pay a courtesy call on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – Lt Gen Thomas  Oppong-Peprah.

The visit on Monday, 4 November 2024 at the General Headquarters, Burma Camp, Accra, was aimed at enhancing cooperation between GAF and the US, in intelligence sharing and provision of modern logistics.

The Chief of Staff (COS) at the General Headquarters – Major General (Maj Gen) Joseph Prince Osei-Owusu recieved the delegation on behalf of the CDS, and thanked Lt Gen Dimitri for the visit, hoping that the visit would further strengthen existing bilateral relations.

Lt Gen Dimitri on his part, emphasized the importance of collaboration among neighboring countries to combat regional threats, and pledged to support GAF logistically, in aid of its operations in the Northern sector of Ghana.
